The Starfish Foundation, or none by locals as "La Fundaccíon", is a non-profit organization dedicated to bettering the lives of impoverished youth in Guayaquil, Ecuador. They focus on preparing students to go to college, and offering them support and opportunities their school's cannot provide to them. They strive to make their students well-rounded, and give them every tool they need to be successful. In my 2 months spent working for them I learned a lot about true determination and perseverance, despite any circumstances. The Foundation is a truly special place, and these photographs are dedicated to portraying the many brilliant and wonderful children that call The Foundation their second home.
